So it seems my last post was in September 2007, which, if anyone is paying attention, isn't even the same YEAR as the year we are in now, 2008. Furthermore, if anyone is paying attention (doubtful, given my extended absence), the posts have been few and far between the past year, save for occasionally waxing Beatnik.
I don't really have an excuse for this, as I most definitely have dibble-dabbled in other blogs (short-lived here, and just beginning here) and other writing (buy it here) and other things for the past 9 months (good grief, long enough to gestate a child, even). So I guess now I'm back, but with a slightly different idea about what direction I want to take this blog. More updates on photo shoots and other artistic projects, more mundane observations, more commentary on all things Los Angeles-related, less grandiose Beatnik ramblings (unless, of course, I feel compelled), and maybe some music (though the RIAA is crackalackin' people, and I don't want to get sued).
I will point out, however, that I'm being purposely lax with myself and my extended absence (seriously, is nothing more annoying than a blogger who doesn't blog? The mind bloggles), because in one month, I will have been writing in this blessed space for three years. Three years, people! That's nothing to scoff at. So in the grand scheme of things, an absence of a few months really isn't that big of a deal, right?
Well, if I haven't lost all of you completely, stick around and keep your eyes on this blog because I promise I'll be updating more often in the near future.
In the meantime,
