**In honor of New York Spring 09 fashion week, which is taking placing in Bryant Park this week, I'm doing my dutiful job and previewing all the shows. I've rounded up a few micro-trends that have stood out to me so far, and this week I'll be posting them here and at Neu Black for your enjoyment.**
Snorkeling is a mysterious and terrifying thing; submersing oneself - even if only halfway - into the watery world of fishes and face-eating eels doesn't appeal to my sense of wonder as much as it appeals to my sense of immanent doom. It's from behind a thick plate of glass that I prefer to look in awe into the crystalline depths. The colors alone are enough to serve as inspiration for any creative person till kingdom come. And that inspiration was certainly felt in New York this week. Vibrant underwater hues from turquoise to aqua floated alongside shades of coral to watery, fantastic effect.
Darling it's better, down where it's wetter. Take it from me.
