A couple of months ago, I heard about an abandoned zoo in Griffith Park - part of the old Los Angeles Zoo. Apparently the zoo was moved to its current location in the sixties, leaving the cages that once housed animals of prey to a far bigger prey: Graffiti, entropy, and time.
Parts of the cages have been turned into picnic areas, but behind them there are plenty of structures still bearing the trademark bars that serve as a harbinger for exotic animals lurking just around every manmade rock. Tyler, Ashley and I explored the area last weekend and I snapped a few shots. This is definitely a location worth returning to!
