Mini Bar / by LD

For my birthday, my friends all pitched in to replenish my otherwise depleted personal mini bar. While I've got bottles of wine in spades (comes from my proximity to both Oregon's Willamette Valley and a BevMo during their buy-one-get-one-for-a-nickel sales), the harder stuff gets consumed fairly quickly due to my utter enjoyment at tending the bar at every gathering we have. 

So it was with great joy that I strolled the aisles of the Bev, moleskin in hand with my list of things to buy. In the end, I purchased some great stuff - a Jack Daniels single barrel, a Jameson 12 yr. reserve, Bombay sapphire, Ketel One, orange blossom water, and a whole slew of other things. So if you find yourself loitering in Long Beach, swing by. If you ask nicely, I might make you a drink.

(Chilled) dry sparking wine
1/4 oz Bourbon or American whiskey
1/2 tsp brown sugar
1 dash Angostura

Mix, and serve in a champagne flute.
